Students from all over Essex County apply for The Urban Entrepreneurship Challenge.
Our “Entrepreneurship Challenge” is a six week summer program, designed to teach high school students about the free enterprise system and the important things entrepreneurs need to know to operate a successful business.
Students learn and interact with several concepts, included but not limited to:
Instructors integrate practical businesses experience with program material to provide tactile learning opportunities for our students.
Employment Experience: Students work with local business leaders in businesses matching their interests and gain valuable experience about running their own businesses.
Original Idea Development: Students are arranged in teams to develop original business ideas. All facets of the business ideas are developed and arranged for a formal competitive presentation to parents and our panel of judges. The winning team is awarded a special prize.
